My recent overnight stay at Rose Marie Guest House was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, and they made sure every aspect of my stay was comfortable and memorable. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The attention to detail was evident, with all amenities thoughtfully provided, ensuring I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What truly set this guesthouse apart was the personalized service I received. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, and their genuine care and hospitality made me feel like a valued guest. The location was perfect too, allowing me to explore the charming surroundings and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I look forward to returning for another delightful stay in the future. The English breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. Tea/coffee and juice was offered also. The location was a bit restricted for parking, as the guest house is close to a roundabout. 2 spaces are available at the front of the property but the rest close by is permit parking only. However, the Owner suggested alternative parking across the road behind a Community Centre, at a cost of £5.50 overnight (24 hours). The guest house is well located for eating at a good selection of restaurants, less than 0.5 miles away. The double room was comfortable, with a decent bathroom and a comfortable bed.

Host is wonderful, friendly, can't do enough for you. Fantastic breakfast! I have stayed a few times now and every room I have used has everything you need including plates bowls, cutlery, and a microwave for simple meals if you don't want to go out. Plenty of space. Bathrooms are good for the price too, what you'd expect, really. It is clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money with everything that is provided. There is no parking, but I use a car park just down the road and find it convenient enough. Like I say, I keep going back, so it is great for what I need!

Very central. Dog friendly- no charge. Homely. Nice big bed and room. Room just inside, great for the dog. Although we didn't use there was a fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery enough to warm up a meal and eat in. Wetherspoons- a decent one- 3 mins' walk away. Host very pleasant and welcoming. A very good breakfast- freshly cooked, very filling. On street parking very near. Convenience stores and take away eateries only a minute away. A pleasant park next to the college just over the road. We will use again when on the area. Excellent value for money.

Microwave, fridge, plates and cutlery, everything we’ve grown not to expect from chain hotels but at half the price.
